A Near-Scam Experience

Until last night, I couldn't understand why I'd regularly see warnings in the Fan Feed about scammers.  How does someone scam you when you have to approve a trade?

TKell23 posted that he/she had black cards for trade.  I've completed my white set, and now I'm collecting legends in the other color variants, so I sought his Paul Bearer black card.  Although I didn't have a lot left to offer that I hadn't locked, I tried making the best deal I could offer: 2 orange (Del Rio and Kofi), 3 teal (including Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt), and 4 green cards.  Although I didn't think the trade would be accepted, it was a reasonable offer so I gave it a shot.

TKell23 countered my offer, and I was just about to click Accept when something caught my eye.  The black Paul Bearer card wasn't black anymore.  He or she switched it out with a white Paul Bearer.  I looked at the Fan Feed once again, and two people complained that TKell23 tried scamming them with the same black-for-white switch tactic.

If you're active in trading, make sure you know exactly what you're giving and receiving before you click Accept.  Especially take a close look when you receive counter offers.

For everything that people enjoy, there's someone out there willing to ruin it with greed and shady tactics.  If you're one of those people, you're a loser with a 0% percent chance of long-term happiness in life, and there are no number of black cards or inserts that would make any decent, self-respecting person wish to trade places with you.
